I've been to Rio, FN, and Golden, and with respect to what you are looking for (quality above all else), I would try Rio or Familia Nombre.

Where is east castle spa at? Can I walk there fell the ferry? Or use one of the shuttles?
Casa Real hotel. Walkable but a little far from the ferry.
you've been given some excellent advise by the brothers. You simply can't go wrong following their recommendations. Sauna/KTV business is still strong in Macau unlike the bar/casino pickup spots. Since MGM Lions Bar closed and also Venetian Bellini Bar there not much left except those late night clubs.

My experience is primarily limited to East Spa, East Castle Spa and D1. Here are some random opinions and observations I picked up along the way:
- East Group owns the above two spas. They do not have distributors and directly sell their own tickets at Shun Tak. Prices are high and non negotiable (other spas have multiple distributors and the included services do vary between outlets).
- A vendor told me (I did not independently verify) that all the other spas source girls from brokers so there is always a fresh supply of new faces. His point to me was that it didn't matter which spa you visited because the source of the talent is the same. This does not appear to be the case with East Group. They have their own stable of girls. The girls are pretty, but you will start to see familiar faces after a while.
- East Group tends to focus on PRC girls. While there are non-PRC girls in the lineup, the majority are PRC. However in the model class, they do have Korean, and sometimes others.
- East Castle's specialty used to be AV themed rooms and higher prices and better girls. But as East Spa started to provide AV themes also, I have not gone back to East Castle. I just happen to like East Spa's set up more and they have shows. East Castle only has traditional lineups and these become boring after one or two. You might as well go to D1 where there is a permanent lineup on display (fishbowl).
- Either place (East Spa or ECS) is a fine way to spend an evening just relaxing. (You need to be firm about declining massage services. If you show weakness, they will be all over you like flies).
- D1 has an incredible selection. But the evening dresses with push up bras can be deceiving.
- D1 has diversity: PRC, Viet, Thai ...
- D1 rooms are nice with large shower and bath areas. Two girls with you in a bath. That's the bomb.
- East Group rooms tend to be hotel rooms with standard showers. Not so enjoyable.

I'm looking to go to East Spa this coming weekend. I know it's CNY so does anyone know if it's even worth making a trip? Will everything be closed or is it business as usual?
Eastspa is only good to look at young hot prc girls ( generally ). as long as your expectations of service is low unlike me you'll be fine. If this is a first time for any mongerer I feel bad for you guys. Golden years have past for macau IMO ever since sanado closed down and darling moved away from the ferry location.
