Freelancer: $4,700 leaving from HK? How's that possible. Unless you were there for >1 week.
Freelancer: must be high season and CNY? I flew with Cathay this past Sept for $1950 HKD.

I think so as well. My Thai Airways flights to BKK the past July were ~$2600 HKD, but that was for an early afternoon departure and the flight was full. I have less vacation days freedom at work which limits me to when I can take time off. For 2018, it was either over Chinese New Year or wait until June and I can't wait until June for Thai pussy!
