 Marriott Hotel In Bangkok?

24-February 23:29#1 hkpunter999
I'm looking at a trip to Bangkok.... first time there. There are a couple of Marriott hotels... any idea which of these is closest to all the action?

Bangkok Marriott Sukhumvit
2 Sukhumvit Soi 57, Klongtan Nua, Wattana Bangkok, Thailand 10110

Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen's Park
199 Sukhumvit Soi 22, Klong Ton, Klong Toey Bangkok, Thailand 10110

Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel
518/8 Ploenchit Road Bangkok, Thailand 10330

Looking to visit in April (and staying on points).

Thank you in advance!

I think I answered my own question....

If I stay at Queens Park (Soi 22), I'm a short walk toPhrom Phong station, which is two stops from Nana. Also, I think I've read stuff about Addict Massage, which looks close.

I've got enough points to stay for more than a week.

Totally interested in any suggestions!

you need to check the distance from Queen's Park to Sukhumvit Road, some soi can be very long, and maybe you have to walk 1km or more for reach the sukhumvit road and BTS.

It 0.249 miles / 400 meters - a 5 min walk according to Google Maps.

Thank you!

Bangkok Marriott Sukhumvit
2 Sukhumvit Soi 57, Klongtan Nua, Wattana Bangkok, Thailand 10110

Nana Plaza is on the next street and Nana BTS station is a 5min walk
the soapies closes at midnight and unless you strike a good rapport with the therapist, you'll most unlikely succeed with a nightcap.
nana plaza has more choice and a short walk back to your hotel for a night cap

Bangkok Marriott Sukhimvit is a great location if you can get a reasonable price. Next door to Nana Plaza.
I've stayed at the Landmark Sukhimvit and it is excellent in price/location/girl-friendly.

Hey HKPunter.

Normally when i go I stay at the following:

- (Close to ASOK BTS) - close to Soi Cowboy and a short walk or tuk tuk ride to nana
- Westin Sukhumvit - 259 Sukhumvit Rd, Khlong Toei, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10110, Thailand
- Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit - 250 Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok 10110, Thailand

- JW Marriott ( Close to Nana and a short tuk tuk ride to cowboy).
- 4 Sukhumvit Road, Soi 2, Bangkok 10110, Thailand

I have never stayed at the hotels you suggested, but from looking at the map and from my knowledge of the lovely BKK, I would suggest

Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen's Park (closeish to Cowboy, and very close to several massage parlors behind emporium)
199 Sukhumvit Soi 22, Klong Ton, Klong Toey Bangkok, Thailand 10110

I cant comment on the Bangkok Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit or the Raddison though. I usually stick to the 3 BTS stations (Nana, Asok and Phrom Phong).

Enjoy. Send me a PM if you want to hang cause i may be down there in march!

Look forward to your reports

Depend on what action you are expecting .
I live in BKK and never try to those, Soi Cowboy is the one and easy to taste BKK. if it s 1st time in BKK, stay close to it.

Phrom Phong - Soi 24 and 26 are well stocked with the oilies
Asoke -Cowboy Soi and Nana - Nana Plaza are the two go go bars locations

Depends on what you like.

I'd rule out the Renaissance. There's very little action there other than Akane, across the main road.

Between Nana and Asoke you have plenty of options, not only the gogos.
BJ Bars, Nuru Massage, Soapy Massage, Oils massage shop, beer bars, freelancers hotspot like Beer Garden and Thermae and street walkers.

Thank you @isaacdeweyliu!! I really, really appreciate that!

I ended up changing my flights, now I only have a 5 hour layover (in the middle of the day), so I won't be venturing into the city. My original itinerary gave me a free overnight in BKK.... but I just had to change it!

I will take you up on the offer if I'm able to make it later in the year!

You could still go to Bangna (not far from the airport) and have a quickie

i stayed at Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel before. Great hotel. Very close to the chit lom train station.

JW Marriott is a good choice. Nice rooms and no problems with bringing guests.

I'll second the JW Marriot, especially for a rookie, it is right where you want to be.

I would advise someone to try the Sofitel. I would argue it is the best positioned hotel for any of the action areas.

It is also a great hotel with lots of great features.

I would say the JW as others have mentioned... Walking distance to a few massage places, as I really Annie's is just around the corner.

However, last time I was there I stayed at the Grand Hyatt as they have a great night club at the bottom. And, it is still close to the train, just a little further from the popular spots near Nana.

I liked it (the club, Spasso I think) because it is more upscale and mature. And, even during the week, you will find attractive professional women looking to make a little extra money; not just the pros who won't give you a very good GF experience. Just a few months ago, I was there and met a professional woman with an amazing body, taller than most Thai women and we had a wonderful time. They still have to leave ID when you head up to the room, but I like to convenience of having a night club at the bottom of the hotel...

Not to mention, they have a great spa and real professional spa service. Always nice to get your body worked on after a night of fun with a hot Thai woman.
