It seems like some of y'all aren't have English speakers on here. There is a Chinese equivalent of this forum... What brings y'all on to the English version? Are we nicer people? Or maybe it's a way for you to learn/practice English? Just curious

a few years ago I estimate at least 60% of bros in this forum are ethnic Asian, don't know about now
I can't read Chinese, but heard few bros mention lots of paid / fake reviews on the Chinese forum. If true that could be a motivation...
I didn't find really good new things in the chinese 141hongkong forum in the past months and fewer "official" SPA advertisements too.

I am 100% born HK Chinese, but spent a good part of my childhood studying and living in the UK hence I have a perfect English accent (some of those speaking to me on the phone before they met me in person thought I was British!). Although I can type, read and speak Chinese I spend most of the time thinking in English. Hence I find it easier to visit English forums to read other reports and share my reviews.
I would suspect quite a lot of the other mongers who are Chinese visit the English forum because they have spent some time living, working or studying overseas at some point in their lives. Some of the mongers probably just want to practice their English skills. But I suspect most end up on this forum is because of all the fake reports and ads you see in the Chinese forum.
I even spoke to a working girl in JSL TST a few weeks ago and she said "Of course we paid 141 site a few hundred bucks each time and they will have people writing these fantasy out of the world reports for us". Previously I fell into this trap but now I come to the English sites mainly because of the real reports!
But even some of the agents e.g. abcde01 (see Newbie section) recently are using this forum to write fake reports. I find this to be most annoying as some of the more inexperienced mongers will fall into their trap, they not only end up losing money but also potentially waste their time on a bad punt. So right now I am being extra vigilant when reading the reports as I look out for signs of foul play from the agents!

Also though not chinese, most member's native language probably won't be english.
My chinese sucks! I can use it in daily life, I can read simply written text (like spoken chinese/cantonese), but get a huge headache if I see a wall of chinese characters.
